Scarlett has one thing going for her…lets make that two things: Her looks and her movie career (minus The Island). Her desire to make it a trifecta is both annoying and kind of detracts from her sexiness…her voice scares me. I understand that most actors consider themselves “artists” with the ability to transend their current medium and thrive in another, but that is just not the case (i.e. Kevin Bacon).
The most painful part of this is her ability to leach off good musicians.
She does have the ability to get good musicians on her team though (Nick Zinner, Peter Yorn, and TV on the Radio’s Tall Firs and Celebration) so maybe they see something I don’t.
That all being said, I did enjoy some songs of her Tom Wait’s cover album and probably will off her next, but I don’t really like strictly cover albums from unproven “artists.”

Since when does a person’s musical talent have any relevance when it comes to selling records. Also your heinous disrespect of one of this generation’s greatest talents (of course I am referring to Sir Kevin Bacon) leads me to believe that your hidden slanderous motives taint the all important neutrality that is vital for a high-traffic blog like this one to succeed.
