So, from the looks of it, this Fall is going to be a pretty awesome time for some new music. Below is the list of albums that I am aware of:
1. Battles Studies – John Mayer (expected in September but I have a feeling we wont see it until the end of October or November)
Say what you will, but John Mayer is my favorite artist.
2. The Resistance – Muse (September 14th)
Muse is one of my favorites. They are an amazingly talented band and I can’t wait to hear their next effort. Though I must say, I’m more excited to see them in concert again than I am for the actual album. If you have the chance, see them live at all costs…One of the best touring bands today
3. TBA – Vampire Weekend
They just recently stated that they are almost done with this baby and are shooting for a fall 2009 release.
4. No One First And You’re Next – Modest Mouse (August 4)
This isn’t any “new” material per se, but it’s a compilation of unreleased tracks…Should be cool none the less
5. How I Got Over – The Roots (August 11th)
Very excited for the Legendary Roots Crew’s new LP
6. My Old, Familiar Friend – Brendan Benson (August 18th)
I love him. He’s amazing. Many of you probably haven’t heard his solo stuff but know him for sharing lead guitar and vocals in the Raconteurs. I will be posting some stuff on him later so stay tuned.
7. Humbug – Arctic Monkeys (August 25th)
Should be cool.
8. Blueprint 3 – Jay-Z (Sept 11)
My favorite rapper with Kanye on Production. This can’t be anything but good.
9. Embryonic – The Flaming Lips (September 29)
Very excited for this
10. The Man on the Moon With the Guardians – Kid Cudi (2009)
I’m intrigued…
11. TBA – Mika (Sept 2009)
I like this guy…Falsetto very similar to Freddy Mercury
12. TBA- New Pornographers (Fall 2009)
Not sure if this is actually true, but I hope it is…I really really like this band and their last cd was shit, so I’, looking forward to another effort
13. The Influence of the Blue Ray of the Sunlight and of the Blue Color of the Sky – OK GO (Sept 2009)
It’s been a while since we have heard anything from these guys.
14. TBA – Paramore (Sept 2009)
SAM WITHAM LOVES PARAMORE. Cat’s out of the bag.
15. Cosmic Egg – Wolfmother (2009)
Really excited to hear how they sound with 2/3 of the band gone.
16. Ready for the Weekend – Calvin Harris (August 17)
Can’t wait!

Not a big spoon fan, and I completely forgot about the Arctic Monkey’s album…That should be a good one.

And i just noticed you listed Mika. haha. I loved the guys very brief time of popularity with those couple songs. I wanted to not like Mika, but I couldn’t help it.

He has a falcetto that rivals a 9 year old boy in the vienna boys choir. What’s not to love?
